1. About Brass

Brass is a free financial habits platform for young people in West Yorkshire, operated by The Think Movement CIC and Mediahubink. By using Brass, you agree to these Terms of Use.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Brass.

2. Eligibility

  • Brass is intended for users aged 16 and over
  • By using Brass, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old
  • Brass is currently available to residents of West Yorkshire, England

3. Not Financial Advice

All content on Brass — including challenges, savings goals, reward information, and responses from Oz the AI money coach — is for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute:

  • Financial advice regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
  • Investment advice
  • Tax advice
  • Any form of recommendation specific to your personal financial circumstances

You should not make significant financial decisions based solely on content within Brass. If you require regulated financial advice, please consult an FCA-authorised financial adviser. You can find one at unbiased.co.uk.

4. The Oz AI Money Coach

Oz is an AI-powered assistant that provides general money guidance. By using Oz, you acknowledge that:

  • Oz's responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate, current, or applicable to your specific situation
  • Oz does not have access to your bank accounts, credit history, or any personal financial data beyond what you share in conversation
  • Responses from Oz do not constitute regulated financial advice
  • You use Oz's guidance at your own discretion and risk

Your conversations with Oz are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Do not share sensitive personal information such as bank account numbers, passwords, or National Insurance numbers in the Oz chat.

5. Rewards

Brass rewards are offered in partnership with local West Yorkshire businesses. By redeeming a reward, you agree that:

  • Rewards are subject to availability and the terms of the individual business offering them
  • Brass and The Think Movement CIC are not responsible for the quality, availability, or fulfilment of third-party rewards
  • Rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money
  • Brass reserves the right to modify, suspend, or remove rewards at any time

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Brass to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to circumvent or hack the platform
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce content from Brass without permission
  • Use Brass for any commercial purpose without written agreement from Mediahubink

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within Brass — including the name “Brass”, the £ logo, and all written content — is the intellectual property of The Think Movement CIC and Mediahubink.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Brass content without prior written permission from joash@mediahubink.com.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Brass is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • Brass will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
  • The information provided will be accurate, complete, or up to date
  • Any savings targets, XP goals, or financial outcomes will be achieved

Your use of Brass is entirely at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Think Movement CIC and Mediahubink shall not be liable for any:

  • Loss of money, savings, or financial opportunity
  • Indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of Brass
  • Loss of data stored in your browser

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this document will reflect any changes. Continued use of Brass after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
